Husband had headache with 103 fever off and on (mostly on) for more than a week. Finally, on the third time to the ER, they admitted him, diagnosing with pneumonia. He's been at the hospital for a week now, and although fever and headache gone, after CT scan and a couple other procedures, they just told him that his pneumonia hasn't gone away. The doctor said he's going to try different treatment, and tomorrow get a lung biopsy. Husband has asthma and allergies so I know his immune system has never been great. We are both SO scared...thinking the worst.
How can someone have pneumonia this long???? And isn't a lung biopsy for incredibly sick patients...like fatally sick?? Please let me know what he could be suffering with?
