I think my 2 year ld might be displaying early signs of autism

Hi My son chad is 26 months old and a friend suggested that maybe i check him out for slight autism. While he does know how to say alot of words he rarely ever puts them together, he can say train but not truck he pronounces that cook he mostly speaks jibberish and he gets very angry easy and hits bites screams. He is a very picky eater and never wants to eat he would rather drink milk all day. He sometimes doesnt rspond to his name kinda like he doesnt hear me calling him but if i say something that he likes very low he runs to me so it may be selective hearing. he doesnt play with other kids very much, Also he cannot get out what is bothering him so he has temper tantrums most of the day i feel that maybe he is having a hard time communicating to me what is the problem so he resorts to scratching biting hitting and kicking. Another thing he does is he loves to eat toilet paper andything paper for that matter he puts everything in his mouth and he eats blankets lint fabric ect.. does anyone have any ideas?

well those are all symptoms of it but then  he is 2  and tantrums are pretty normal... he could be a bit autistic... you should try sensory toys and strategies they really help! like massaging is really helpful .... how does he play with toys? does he spin open close get fixated for long time?
