Autoimmune Hepatitis

Diagnosis: Chronic active hepatitis with marked interface components and bridging fibrosis. Ulcerative colitis and hypothyroidism.
Can I pass onto my partner any sexual diseases?
I am taking prednisone, imuran and losec, can any of these medications cause
sores in the mouth (tongue)?

Great news, I got my results back from that test I did last week.
I spoke to my liver doctor told him the results and guess what I am off the prednisone.
I think if He was standing next to me I would have given him the biggest hug.
I am so happy I can't believe it.
Now I just have to pray that thing will be OK. I still have some pain and actually through up a couple of times this week but I am trying to ignore it and continue with everything as usual. Next blood tests some time in Feb.
I am still taking imuran and omepradex (Losec).
Do any of you have a problem with hair loss? I am shedding so much it's unbelievable.
Well ladies I wish you all good luck and hope to hear good news from you all.

HI Sara, Yes I think we did enjoy the evening.  I know my 2 older girls really took advantage of it.  They get annoyed at the 2 younger girls.
Anyway, I'm sure you are getting very anxious for the results...You should have them one day this week, right?  Keep us informed.  By the way, how is your arm??
Have a Good One, Kim

Erin, fabolous  news!  You are doing so great.  I think I go for my labs w/in a day or two of you.  Maybe that'll bring us good luck...

I ate so/so at the b-day parties...I ate a lot of salad (which was good) but I ate cake too.  What are you gonna do, right?  I'll make sure to work out tomorrow.  I think I told you guys I really felt like my moon face was going away, but it is pretty much back.  Burning out of that , that is for sure..........

Sara, I don't see my Dr. again until April 2nd, and I'm going to definitely ask him about the test you had.  Sounds like we all need it....

Well, you ladies know I have 4 daughters, and tonight my 2 youngest (5 1/2 yr old twins) are spending the night at different cousins houses.  They even split up, 1 went home w/one set of cousins and the other stayed at the cousins who b-day party we were at.   My house seems so quiet and wierd.  I don't know what to do w/myself...My other daughter is leaving tomorrow at 9 AM to go w/her brownie troop on a field trip.  Down to 1 child.    My husband and I just keep laughing because its so quiet.  Even my 2 older girls keep saying "Man, our house is so quiet, there are no twins bugging to sleep in our bed".  Funny how we get used to our lives, right?  We may want to change it at times, but the reality is we adjust to what we have.  Much like our disease I'm sure.  We just alter our life to fit it in.  I think it just gets easier because its a part of us that doesn't change...I really started thinking about that this evening...

Well, I hope you guys are having a quiet enjoyable evening as well....

Hey Erin great news, good for you girl keep up and you'll see how fast you will go down on the pred. Hopefully now you will go down every 2 weeks 2.5-5 mg. Did you ask about the test I did. They call it here Synacten.
I know what you mean about the moon face. People say to me it's not that bad but I feel terrible with it. Good luck with your next labs.
Well Kim enjoy all these b-day parties try not to over do it. Good to hear that your still working out. What about you Erin?
After everything I went through with this test I just hope the results will be OK.
We must try to be as possitive as we can, right girls?
Well you all take care and have a great weekend.

Finally got the call from my GI nurse a few hours ago. I get to reduce, but only by 5mg, so starting tomorrow morning I'm at 15mg.

I retest in 2 weeks on Feb 7th and hopefully drop another 5 then.

Have a good night everyone

Erin
