Pain near the Point of Join of Spine to Neck

Dear Doctor,

I had been suffering from neck pain for 5 years, the pain is centered at the point where the spine connects to the neck and left and right part of it.
I had been sitting in wrong posture in front of pc's in head protruded posture for many years. Now i get a sharp pain mainly in the back part of the left shoulder(shoulder blades),it becomes worse when i ride my bike.I need to rest some time for the pain to ease to continue. The XRAYS of the neck and left shoulder turned out to be fine.I had tried the McKenzie method for a while, but not consistent,i think it was reducing the pain.

Now im trying to focus on core strengthening exercises along with McKenzie, will that be alright.

Please advice

Hello there,

I just finished reading your comments. Have you tried going to see a
chiropractor ? I have neck issues from being rear ended twice within
three years. I go for regular chiropractic adjustments. By regular, I
mean every 2 -3 weeks or so. My health plan covers part of the cost
of these adjustments. Maybe a chiropractor can help you too. Eve
