What does my MRI mean? Will I be able to deadlift again?

IMPRESSION:
"Right Paracentral Extrusion of L3-L4 intervertebral disc causing narrowing of right lateral recess with superior migration and mild to moderate compression over right L4 traversing nerve root"

Hello All,
I have been diagnosed with the above issue and I am not very sure about how I should proceed with regards to working out. I LOVE working out, and have been lifting since about 2 years. I think I injured my back during deadlifting heavy, but I am not very sure.

The pain I feel is in the right leg and is accentuated in certain positions (eg, when i raise my left leg from sitting position)

It was excrutiating in the beginning but it has eased a bit and now I am almost pain free during the evenings, and have pain for about an hour in the mornings.

Could you please help me out with regards to which exercises I should DO and which exercises I should NOT DO to ensure fast healing of my condition?

Thanks a ton!

I am not experiencing pain while bench press, shoulder press, etc. ; yet my doctor has told me not to do any weight training for 3 to 4 months. I am really confused over here..

I would say limit some things until your doctor gives you the okay, I have the same thing mine is C5 and C6 lower tissue damage as well. Just don't let them get you sucked in with pills! I'm getting off of them as we speak, I would rather deal with the pain and agony then pills. That is just my outlook on it. Plus the pharmacy gave me crap for those two years no empathy, for the pain I was in.
