failed cervial surgery syndrome

I am not certain if this is the correct term, but it somewhat explains the issue.  After to surgerys 14 months apart, the first a C5-C7 fusion, the second a C3-C5 fusion, I still remain in neck, thorasic and arms pain. I am not saying the fusions didnt fuse, they did, however I have not received much pain relief. Is there any published work out there that addresses the question of how often multi-level cervical fusions fail to reduce pain, leading to chronic pain?

Thanks.

the chances of adjacent joint disease are about3% per year for 10 years..you are not alone..neerve problems are not always relieved by decompression..they take time or might not come back...good luck

I am sorry to hear about your failed surgery.

I suggest looking through the NIH (National Institutes of Health) under "failed back surgery syndrome" to find more information on failed spinal surgeries.
