(lower back) making legs parallized

I have this pain in my lower back  its like a firecracker that blows up sending heat  from my lower back as it runs domn my legs then to my feet...when it starts i must sit down no matter where i am cause until the heat travels out of my feet both my legs are parallized...it takes anywhere from 10 to 14 seconds and this happens 1 to 4 times a day..please let me know if anyone else has experenced this...i am afraid it could parallize me for good..

This sounds very painful. I think you should make an appointment with your
family doctor. Then you could tell your doctor about this pain you have
1 - 4 times a day. See what your doctor says.  Your doctor may want to do
some tests, give you a referral to a specialist etc. Good luck to you. Eve

It sounds like you could be having nerve pain.  Did you injure your back?  It is possible to herniate your back without doing much at all.  You probably should be assessed by an orthopedic surgeon.  Normally the first treatment for a herniated disc is oral steroids which shrink the disc and help it to go back into place.  The sooner this is done the better chances you have of it working providing this is the problem.  Hope you feel better soon.
