neck and shoulder pain help please!!!!!

Hi im a 25 yr old woman and i work at a computer most of the day ive been seeing my wks physio for few weeks now as once i get into work and sit down i start to get a burning sharp pain going down my left hand side of my neck and shoulder into my shoulder blade and down my arm. Sometimes the only way to relieve this is to stand up and do a circle with my left arm or strectch my arm out and twist it from side to side everytime i do this its clicks in my shoulder and seems to relieve the pain for a few moments. I have also been sitting straight up right not hunching ive had them assess my desk for any reasons why this would happen and nothing! I lie on my back at night now also trying to help re align anything that may not be in the right position and nothiong is helping! I do neck curls trying to knock out what feels like a massiive lump in my neck but this never helps either....

It has recently become so bad i started crying at my desk in front of everyone from pain and frustration! im just so desperate for this to stop happening and have been doing stretches the physio suggested but that hasnt helped and the sessions with him dont seem to help much past an hour after seeing him. This pain usually goes away once ive left work and am at home relaxing. I even took a friends pain killer ARCOXIA 120mg yesterday and the pain was releived until about 3 in the afternoon then returned. i see my dr on friday and i need to know what i should ask from him as i cant keep on like this im in pain from 9am till 5.30pm every day and its affecting my work now. If anyone can help please do any suggestions as to why this is happening or what to do!!!!

I am very sorry for your pain. I have pain in my right arm that runs up to my neck with numbness in my hand and ear, weird huh? I have disc issues in my neck which I have had two surgeries (fusions) for.  I still had pain and now I have just found out I have Thorasic Outlet Syndrome [sic]. You need to find a good doctor that LISTENS to you and does not stop until you are better.  I have been on the journey of finding someone who does not look at me like I am crazy when I tell them my ear is numb for 7 years. I finally found the right doctor and I am on my way to feeling like ME again.  Good luck! You might see if you can get an MRI for your neck, your symptoms sound similar to some I had regarding my neck issues.

Hi...do see a dr to be sure it may not be something more than posture...but do try to elevate the monitor so it is straight forward....and that u r sitting correctly.....posture even sitting is very important.

Look for the Fieldenkrais method ...it is all posture.

Do post an update on ur progress and what u discover
