spinal cord stimulator

I had a ANS stimulator implanted in May of 2007 cutting my pain level by 50 to 60%.  I fell down stairs in 2000 and have two steel rods and cage in my back and a steel plate in my neck.  After implant I couldn't believe how good I felt.  In Oct of 2007 the pain relief had changed to about 20 %.  Has anyone faced the same problem which I am in right now.  I am trying to get a new implant or information from other individuals about their experiences.  Dr is trying to tell me that I had the good feeling but don't expect it back like it was before.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Due to DDD, I had bone hitting bone in the L5/S1 joint because my disc had disintegrated and had the Charite’ artificial disc replacement surgery performed Feb. 2006.  I continued to have lower back pain which radiated down the back of my legs and feet.  After all the injections I could have, I had the spinal cord stimulator implanted on Oct. 2007.  It helped for a while but it seems as if I am getting used to it.  I am still on muscle relaxers and pain meds that I may never get off of.  I have had more injections since the stimulator was implanted and supposedly, mine is in good position.

I am very disgusted and wish this pain would go away.  .
