Changed sleeping style

20 yrs , female. Ive recently changed from sleeping on my stomach to sleeping on my left side. I am currently fighting a cold . I'm having pain in neck and shoulder Could be from sleeping on my side and an earache I have a small lump in my neck that has been there for a few years and only acts up when I'm sick.  Could just be a swollen lymph node . Also I have a headache in my temple. Any comments will help. Seem to be have some anxiety as well.

Hi there!

The neck and shoulder pain and the headache could be a part of the viral syndrome and is likely to get better as the infection subsides. You could try using warm compresses and some tylenol and see if this seems to help. If you do not notice any improvement after the infection subsides, you may consider getting this evaluated by a primary care physician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
