Coccyx Pain...

- Coccyx ache without trauma.  It seems to come and go.
- Can pinpoint pain by pressing on it.  It's very low between cheeks.
- Can also feel pain when I clinch buttocks.
- Pain started a few months ago.
- Pain is mostly mild, but can be worse at times.
- Normal bowel movements and urination.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

What did you find out from your doctor? I suffer from somewhat similar symptoms and would like to know what you were told. Thanks. I hope you're feeling better.

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer.  I have an appointment for tomorrow to see my doctor.  I'll let you know how I make out.

Absent any significant trauma, the pain may be related to possible inflammation or infectious processes such as a pilonidal cyst (can develop in the area of the tailbone).
It would be beneficial to make an appt with your primary care physician for a medical evaluation.
Perhaps x-rays of the area might be indicated to assess for any bony abnormalities as well.
Post with an update and let us know how you progress.
Best wishes ----
