Congratulations to you also! Since I was one of those diagnosed young (originally at age 32), and having lots of wonderful toxic drugs, radiation, and surgeries, I know there a number of things it could be. My oncologist is wonderful. I have had the same one for the past 14 years and he truly is great. I recently just advanced to 5 month check ups so I will be going in soon and I'll inquire then. He'll probably go the extra mile and order a bone scan again. It's about time for another one. and an X-ray and a brain MRI and another bone density to check my osteoporosis status.
Looking forward to Spring........Best wishes....
Welcome to the Back and Neck Community. The members are here to provide assistance and support to individuals experiencing symptoms related to possible abnormal conditions of the cervical and/or lumbar spine. The advice provided is non-professional and is primarily based on personal experiences. Please feel free to post on the Expert Forum if additional medical advice is needed and one of the medical doctors will respond as appropriate.
I am sorry to hear of your continued health problems. Congratulations on being a survivor! I am a survivor of bladder cancer for 5 yrs and I know how grateful I am to have received such great medical care to reach that outcome.
I wish I could offer you some suggestions regarding the sensations you have developed in your lower back, but combined with the pre-existing neuropathy, I am not aware of any specific clinical conditions that might be related.
Have you been a member of the Breast Cancer Community? A lot of the members on that forum have dealt with side effects/complications and combinations of various symptoms and perhaps someone could provide information or a link to obtaining other medical advice.
Those oncologists are terrific (over protective is a trait I welcome!), but I can understand your hesitancy to contact your treating physician. If you are scheduled for a follow-up within a reasonable timeframe, it might be advisable to provide your symptoms to him and see if he has any recommendations.
Best wishes and may you continue to be in good health ---
