Costovertabra Pain

I  had T7 T8 compression fracture last May. Since then I have  suffered great deal of pain on left hand side of spine. Consultant now says that this is due to costovertabra joint which has  incorrect angle and is under pressure.  I have seen physio who has no answers. Recently been offered steroid injection by pain specialist but he also says that the pain may be my status quo from now on. I would appreciate any advice !

Hi -Thanks for your time and trouble. I have recently seen a Rheumatologist. He says that if the injections don't work then it may be worth considering a Verteoplasty op.
Again thanks

Hi there!

Well, without a detailed clinical evaluation I cannot be really sure of the cause of the pain in your case. In the current situation I would suggest getting a second opinion from another orthopedician regarding the cause and the appropriate management plan.
Hope this helps.

Take care!
