Details / effect of disc buldge

I was suffering from numbness in my left hand.

Taken MRI and impression is as follows :

Disc bulge with right foraminal disc protrusion at C4-C5 disc causing anterior thecal sac indentation and mild right neural foraminal narrowing with no significant exiting / traversing nerve root compression.

Diffuse disc bulge with central and left paracentral disc protrusion at C5-C6 disc causing anterior thecal sac indentation and moderate bilateral neural foraminal narrowing with no significant exiting / traversing nerve root compression.

Diffuse disc bulge at C6-C7 disc causing anterior thecal sac indentation and mild bilateral neural foraminal narrowing (left>rignt) with no significant exiting  / traversing nerve root compression.

Mild disc buldge at L4-L5 and L5-S1 causing anterior thecal sac indentation with no significant central canal stenosis / exiting foraminal narrowing.

I am an accountant and travels around 40 KM daily in bus.

Wants to understand in layman what it means? Is surgery is only solution? If surgery is performed, whether it will resurface once again?

Thanks in advance for your reply
