Elevated CK levels and leg pain

My husband recently had a MRI on his back.  Spinal Stenosis in the lower lumbar area.  As well, he had been taken Crestor and diagnosed with Statin myopathy 1 year ago as a result of very high CK levels.  He was taken off the Crestor immediately .. put on another drug which is not a statin.  One year has passed and he still has high CK levels and very severe and weak legs.  He tries to exercise but can't do it for long. Calf muscles jump all the time and are tender.  He can't walk around the block. He gets cramps in his legs at night as well.
What can we do to help this condition?  Are there drugs or natural supplements to help build up the damage muscles?
What exactly do you think my husband's condition is?  We can't seem to get an answer.  He is 75 years old and has always been very strong.  He has had 2 bi-pass surgeries over 20 years and stents.  He controls his sugar and his reading is under 7.  He is approx. 10 pounds overweight for his height.  Please advise and thanks ....

Normally, orthotics can decrease pain, not only in the foot, but in other parts of the body such as the knee, hip and lower back.
Without physical examination,it's hard to give you a more accurate advice.
But, I still think that stenosis is key point of your husband's leg problem..
Maybe see another doctor for second opinion?
Take care!

My husband was fitted with orthotics and he finds them very uncomfortable and has decided not to wear them in his shoes.  Is it possible that the orthotics were made wrong or do you have a better idea?

very severe and weak legs, calf muscles jump all the time and are tender.....
All of symptoms seem due to spinal stenosis.

You shouldo to see orthopaedic doctor first.
Good luck!
