Epidural injections w/weight gain

I received from Oct 08 thru Nov 08 a series of 3 cervical epidurals, and a series of 3 lumbar epidurals.  I also had
Synvisc injections in my knee.  Although my weight as remained steady at 165 lbs. for over 11 years, I have
experienced rapid weight gain to 180 lbs.  I am freaking out!  Can you explain?

OMG!!!!! You too???? I thought it was in my mind and couldn't figure out what was causing me the extra weight. I wasn't eating anymore or any less than what I had been after I had my third lumbar injection. I get injections in my neck and my back so it's been a total of 9 injections within a few weeks apart. I don't know about you but I can't seem to eliminate the extra pounds. Of course I can't really exercise because of my pain. I can't even go for a walk either without suffering. So to you and Bev62, don't feel like the lone ranger! Ugh.........now I'm not hungry anymore!!!!

damn, I had the same happen to me last winter after 2 cervical injections. It was
horrible - couldn't stop myself from eating. Also experienced horrible right hip
pain (something I never had before). And to top it off, my neck and arms still
hurt! shots were difinetly not worth getting as here we are a year later, an I am
worse then ever!
hopt the shots helped you.

I also gained weight after two injections. I think this is pretty common and it will gradually go away.  I am diabetic and it also caused my blood sugars to go out the roof.
