**HELP**

Hello, I have been having this pain in my back/shoulder/neck area for about 1 month now.  It started as a dull, burning pain under my left shoulder blade but has now moved to ABOVE my left shoulder blade.  I have also had periodic pain at the base of my neck and shoulders and I sometimes have waves of nausea.  I visited my doctor and he sent me for a chest x-ray (awaiting results) but I just don't feel right.

I do sit at a desk all day and I feel that I have terrible posture, but why now all of a sudden does it hurt?  I wasn't sitting all weekend and it still bothered me.  Like the title says, I need help!

Do you live in an area with ticks?  If so, you may want to check for lyme disease on top of what is suggested above, especially if you start having tweaks of pain in other places or more neurological symptoms.

Hi there!

Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. Possibilities include muscle sprain, nerve impingement/ compression, capsulitis, bursitis, tendonitis, injuries/ tears, joint subluxation/ dislocation, arthritis, periostitis, muscle/ ligament/ tendon tears/ injuries, fractures, growths/ masses, ischemia etc. I would highly suggest an evaluation by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Hope this helps.

Take care!
