Help me to understand

My partner just had back surgery, and I am looking for some advice, in a nutshell, she treats me like crap, I believe it is because of her pain, since her back issue I have been her punching bag, and I am so patient and love her so that I don't want to let her go!
So I was hoping you out there could shed some light. She is always angry with me, and tells me I do not take good enough care of her. I have done research and I have had a kidney transplant so I do understand the process of healing, needing peace, and most important pain management and support!
If anyone has any advice for me, please feel free to share, I can really use it. I also would like to share how happy I am to have found this site, and I am deeply sorry for all you out there that suffer from back pain

Although you are correct in understanding the medical or physical needs of your partner, it sounds more like she is missing the mental support.  This can be different for each and every person.  Trust me I am a nurse.  Try by asking her what you can do to help her, in moving, pain management, food, what ever she wants.  She is not purposely trying to be mean to you just there is no other outlet.  After she is healed she will look back and understand what a wonderful person you have been.  It is just waiting until that point that is a challenge.  Hang in there.

sorry she is making you feel so bad..she feels down an helpless be patient with her maybe its the medication too...do this every time she starts to yell at you use a baby voice and say its alright..make a face and say what wrong my baby...it will make her laugh and then she will wonder whats wrong with you...she will get it and she will stop but mostly it will make her laugh...watch a movie with her something funny...laughter will get her better...but if you tend to argue back its no use she will vent even if she dont mean it...
