Heather why are you not treating the herniated disks. Using pain meds is only a stop gap. You may find yourself quickly needing higher and higher doses until they don"t work at all. Please find a neurosurgeon that can give you some treatment options
Thank you for your replies. Yeah, today i spent the day on the phone with an attorney that is going to try to get me disability immediately. Then i spent the rest of the day trying to find a good doctor to give me some good medication. I really like morphine, it really helps and doesnt make me loopy and tired like oxycodone. I cant stand taking that stuff. My doctor closed down last month because apparentlly he was doing some fraudulent work. I hope not though because I actually need the help.. I dont want to go through the whole new process of looking for a new doctor again. I guess I have to. This month has been very hard on me. I have moved three times, hurt my hip, my insurance come to find out doesnt cover me for **** and i pay $240 a month for nothing. One positive thing is that I start school this month but if i am out of medication and cant walk or sit or stand or lay down, its going to be hard to sit at a computer and concentrate on my work. Anyway, i have blabbled on enough and probably have bored you to death but I tell you, if you dont have your health, you dont have anything!
If you have not done so, you need to get a referral to a Pain Management practice. If your insurance does not require one, than you can call around to different PM's in your area and see if they take new patients.
Im sorry for your suffering, I understand what its like. I suggest finding a good pain management doc that will prescribe sufficient medication so you dont needlessly suffer. I currently take injections but they havnt been that helpful so far. And most of all pray, he cares and he heals,
Best wishes
