Hello,
I had ACDF surgery back in 08/07 and have been experiencing complications since. 6 weeks post surgery I started getting intense burning pain in the right side of my neck and it felt like ripping, tearing pulling pain. It aslo radiated up into my skull on the posterior side. I have had several symptoms since but I cant go into detail since I dont have much to type. I have had multiple MRI's of cervical spine. THe last one shows this: C3-C4-mild uncinate process hypertrophy mildly narrowing the right neural foramen. The left neural foramen and central canal are patent.Normal posterior disk margin. C4-C5-mild generalized posterior margin disk bulge measuring 1-2mm indenting the ventral thecal sac without canal compromise. Patent neural foramen. C5-C6-level of fusion with patent neural foramen and central canal. No evidence of subluxation. C6-C7-Level of fusion with patent neural foramen and central canal. NO evidence of subluxation. C7-T1-Posterocentral 2mm disk protrusion indenting the ventral thecal sac minimially narrowing the central canal. This does not appear to have significantly changed since july 07 MRI. There is question of very mild loss in disk height but there is maintenance of disk hydration. Neural foramen and central canal remain patent. There is minimal mucosal thickening in the sphenoid sinus. What does all this mean? Would this be causing my right sided neck pain I have been having? The burning pain and occipital pain.?? Thank you
