My friend has lower/mid back pain

I have a friend who I was hanging out with a few months ago. We were with some other friends, and we got a bit rowdy. One of the other friends sat on my friend's back, and she felt pain.

She can't afford to go to the doctor's, and she's still feeling pain.

She's an energetic horseback rider, and is an active person. What could potentially be wrong with her back?

She has no leg pain, but an ache in her back.

Are there any free medical clinics and/or teaching hospitals nearby that could possibly treat her?

If she has not tried ibuprofen/motrin, she can try that; 400-600 mg 3x/day.  It can be harsh on the stomach, so she should take it with meals/food.  You can get the 200 mg tablets OTC (over the counter).

She should probably watch her activities, i.e. horseback riding, heavy lifting, etc. until this resolves.

I do believe that she has tried some OTC drugs before, but I'm not sure they've helped. And her mom doesn't believe there's anything wrong with her, so she can't get any money to go to the doctor's.

Is there any suggestion to make her more comfortable? She's tried a heating pad as well.

Has she tried any OTC (over the counter) medications?

Alot of things could be POTENTIALLY wrong with her back.  She needs imaging (CT/MRI) and to be assessed by a physician which NO ONE on here can do for her.
