Pinched Nerve?

After a lot of MRI, Xrays and some other tests I have being diagnosed Radiculopathy and Neuropathy (my neurologist told me that after reading my EMG results, but there all my mri's are normal).  It seems from the EMG that I have pinched nerves in both neck and lower back. So I wonder whats the relation here.

Do I have neuropathy because I have radiculopathy? I have a very long list of symptoms, some of them more annoying than others.

I have numbness mostly on my right hand, tingling, tenderness in buttocks (sometimes on the right sometimes on the left side) pain than run from my back to my hamstrings and ankles.

I usually wake up in the morning with no pain, the pain gets worst as the day goes by. Most of the time I can sleep with no pain. I have a bad posture and when I commute to work on a 5 hour flight to Chicago all my back problems get really bad. Also when I have panic attacks my back kills me. Could that high levels of anxiety cause my back problems and cause pinched nerves?

Am taking Lodine, Lyrica, Flexeril and Xanax to sleep (thats the only medication that make me sleep). Also I started today physical therapy.

I've had a pinched nerve a couple of times before. I also had the buttocks and ankle pain. sometimes quite severe.  i took relefen (anti-inflamatory) for years. It helped a lot. Also steroids helped

you have a pinched nerve..tests show location..when the pain is too much or you loose muscle..go see the surgeon..try everything else first

From the information given I would say that you have suffered what is sometimes called a pinched nerves to the lumber spine due to nerves root problem. The MRI shows normal which could have been present when you laid down (MRI check position). if you are standing or sitting ,it may be slightly different results .The long time sitting could aggravate and bring about more symptoms from this pre-existing problem.
I don't think high levels of anxiety cause your back problems and cause pinched nerves.

I would agree that physical therapy, intensive acupuncture, and mobilization exercises can be helpful
Good luck!
