Sitting Causes Spasms in Back Down to Feet

Over the last 3 years I have been to many doctors and still do not have a diagnosis for my back problems.  When I sit for more than a few minutes, are get a lot of pain in my lower back and buttocks, it goes down my legs and into my feet with severe pain and spasms.  I must stand.  I often have to jump from foot to foot for quite a while because the pain is so intense.  Of late when I stand, it feel like the bones in my feet and ankes are broken and it is hard to get my legs going.  I have had 2 MRI's over the last 2 years and neither one shows anything wrong.  I have been on oxycodone but often times it doesn't even touch the pain.  I take Requip at night which knocks me out to sleep but then it is hard to wake up.  No one seems to be able to find the root of the problem.  I am desperate!  Can anyone offer any suggestions.  Please

I have RLS & CHRONIC SCIATICA. .The back problems which you described sounds exactly like chronic sciatica, even down to the shooting pain down your leg and the inability to sit for any length of time.
MIRAPEX (2+ mg./8 hrs), this formula has worked great for me for both pain and RLS.  however with all these medications are going to have their own side effects or maybe the side effects from this one will be different than the other.
About norcotic pain medication-- you need to get into pain management, and what's with that pain management doctor to get stronger medication.  Specifically you need to get a long term pain medication

I would suggest you see a chiropractor if you havent done so already. a woman i work with was having the exact issues. it is something to do with the disks in her lower back compressing together and putting pressure on a nerve. she sits at a desk all day and was miserable from the pain. she goes now i believe a couple times a month to the chiro where they work on her lower back and help decompress the disks. shes found a lot of relief with this. i wish you the best of luck.
