Success Rate for C6/C7 Surgeries

Hi, just wondering for those that have elected to have surgery to fix this pain, how successful is it? Also, how long are you usually out of commission for? I realize everyone's different, just looking for a ballpark figure.

My pain has become intense enough that I can't remain in one position for more than a few minutes. I've tried everything PT has offered and it does little, doctor's pain medication as well. I just can't afford to miss work for very long, and am wondering even with a neck brace how quickly it's possible to return to work.

I had c5-7 fused- acdf..Feb of 2008...was hitting golf balls 6 weeks post op..I'm 58 active male...I got my life back..I know 5 others who have had the same surgery..all are doing well..good luck

Hi and welcome to the back and neck support forum.

As u mentioned everyone is different, it will also depend on the exact nature of ur issue.
It appears u have back or neck issues and that is a very braod spectrum of issues u could possibly have.

It would also be diff to give even a ballpark figure on surgery even if we knew what type u were in need of.....but if u would like to talk about ur issues we r here to listen and offer support.
