Upper back and neck pain with headaches, help!

For the past 2 years I have had bad upper back and neck pain, as well as daily headaches within the last year. Two years ago I had an MRI that showed juvenile degenerative disk disease in my cervical and thoracic spine, bulging disks throughout my cervical and thoracic spine, a herniated T5-6 disk with spinal cord contact, spinal cord edema, multiple lymph nodes enlarged(abnormally high number), and scheurmanns disease.

They didn't do anything for me at the time besides physical therapy. I have tried PT, massage, water exercise, aerobic exercise, taking NSAID's(Relafen), nothing works. Will an orthopedic surgeon or neurosurgeon be able to perform surgery that would help me? Any advice? I don't know what to do!

I have been posting a lot about Prolotherapy on this forum lately because I have seen it give my daughter her life back.  If you want to see my other posts it would save me time in retelling our stories.  I just had my second treatment for Barre-Lieou syndrome which is a result of cervical spine issues.

I know that Prolotherapy can help a number of spine issues, but don't know about yours specifically.  I do know that when ligaments are loose or become overstretched they allow the spine to basically move and shift more than it should.  When your spine isn't held firmly in place, it and herniated disc(s) are allowed to affect the nerves around it more.  Basically, the procedure involves dextrose solution injections (totally different than cortisone or other types) which stimulate the body to cause inflammation that signals the body to heal itself.  The ligaments can become kind of like a rubber band that has been overstretched, and the Prolotherapy actually causes them to become strengthened and shortened again.  There are actually a lot of people who have herniated discs but aren't aware of it.  They are often found incidentally when someone starts having pain due to nerve involvement.  Sometimes just strengthening the ligaments to keep the spine where it belongs is enough to make someone pain free.

You can Google information about this treatment if you want.  Actually, you may be better off calling a doctor or two that do Prolotherapy and ask if they treat your condition(s) and with what degree of success.  I pray this somehow helps and you find relief.
