does Glucosamine Help?

Hi, does anyone know if glucosamine helps with degenerative discs in spine?  i know it helps arthritis, but I'm at my wits end with some bulging discs (l4 l5 and s1) and thought i may give it a go.

Any views or would i be wasting my money?

Thanks for the advice suzzie, i think i will try that. It's interesting that u get groin pain too. My groin aches and i sometimes get a burning sensation in my lower left abdomen. Im hoping its all related to my back.  I will definately try the glucosamine. Take care and thanks

Hi Emma:
I have degenerative disc disease of L5 and S1, and when I am in pain I use a rib belt for a few days.  I do know the Glucosamine/Chondroitin Tablets Double Strength 3 a day have helped my knee arthritis a little bit.  I do see a difference if I stop taking it. I have not had any back pain, but I am having pain down the front of  my leg and cannot lift it or the pain goes into my groin.  Everyone is telling me that its from my back being unaligned, even if it does not hurt.
It is expensive, and its up to you if you want to try it.
