neck tumors removed

About 4 weeks ago I had 2 tumors removed on my neck. One on my carotid artery and one on my vagus nerve. The vagus nerve was removed. The surgery went well and I am in speech therapy but I have two concerns. One is everytime i eat or drink anything I get this horrible tingly sensation up my jawline to my earlobe..it usually subsides as I eat/drink a few times. What is this caused from and will it go away? Also, I think i may have horners syndrome now. My eyelid is slightly droopier than the other..but i still have some swelling on my side of my face from surgery, how long should I wait to have this diagnosed or could my eye be like this temporarily bc of the swelling?? Thanks!!

our son had a similar surgery and is totally unable to swallow...he does not have any of your other symptons, but now has a feeding tube. 4 weeks is not a really long time  Our friend had a tumor removed from behind his optic nerve and has swelling like yours;he is going on 8 weeks or so....do talk with your doctor, but do give it time...that was a pretty brutal surgery!
