pain is getting worst

i have DDD at c4-5 with small posterior osteophyte. here is moderate ddd at c5-7 with anterior and posterior Osteophytes. There is some facet arthritis and spurring of the uncovertebral joints with narrowing f the foramen in my lower cervical spine, on the right side there is mild narrowing of andc4 moderate narrowing of c5and c6. On the lef side there is mild narrowing of c4 mild narrowingof c5 and moderate narrowing .of c6. my exray impression stated i have DDD especially C5-6  and C6-7. of the foraman bilaterally. I also have DDDin my Lumbar spine with diffuse facet artthtitis of the advanced degree OF L2-S1. my xray impression states advanced DDD and facet arthritis lumbar spine most severe from L3-S1 WITH scoliosis to the right centered at L-4. These were taken 2 yrs ago. I have tried so many anti-inflamatories, also have gotten cortisne shots, i haven't been to a orto surgen, I am a 55 yr old female. The pain on the left side of my neck upinto my head is getting worst,  Would youplease explain to me in words i can undersand what exzactly is gingon in my neck and back. I can hardly turn my head othe left without great pain, Would you suggest going o asurgeon? thank you so much fr taking the time toread this. hoping to hear from you soon.  ty SweetNectar.

Nerve compression is when your nerve is being squeezed. in your case it may be pushed or squeezed by a bulging disc. Let me know how you are doing.

I have the same problem that you are describing, my MRI showed Bulging discs w/spinalcord involvement at c4-7. i reciently had a spinal fusion w/ plating and bone grafting. It sounds like you have nerve compression that is causing the pain in your neck and head. I would suggest seeing a neurosurgeon and would definately have an MRI. Good luck to you Janet316
