do you have to have back pain to suffer from sciatica? I might have a slipped disc, but the only thing I'm feeling is leg aches (mostly left) and mild tingling. Feels better when I walk or run.
Yes, I agree the best thing for sciatica is to stretch your leg muscles. The more you use your legs and do movement that requires you to bend your knees the more it will improve. Going skiing actually helped my lower back pain a lot, too.
I have sciatica too. I know, it can be painfull. they can give you meds that do help, I have viocoden and soma and that helps, but really the best thing is to walk. sitting on that vein only squashes it more, it needs to be moved more. so try to walk as much as you can.
