like jst4shanell said for me it's worse these days as it is getting warm. Upon asking one pdoc who is the head of the psych hospital hosting some 500 pts he confirmed by saying these days all our affective disorders pts are worse and relapsing and this happens he said in this season of changing weather from winter to springer every year. But of course this is out of experience what he reports and needs to be viable statistically
Bipolar is effected by the change in weather. I really have to monitor when the sun starts coming out more because it actually causes me to become manic. Not Seasonal Effective Disorder
I had seasonal affective disorder when I lived in foggy Ca. It hits me a little now that I am in sunny nevada when we go into fall and the days get shorter. Your moods should improve with the longer days. You might be having a reaction to the meds or the meds are not catching and treating all your symptoms. Anger and irritability are a nasty part of BP. There should be other meds that your dr could try.
Yes, I am sure I got that too lol. My bipolar has been under control for a while but every since he got me down to one med, I am been off a bit. My moods for the last six months have been hard to deal with. My anger right now is getting all most out of hand. I go anger and then I go way down to the bottom and then I worry so much. I am only getting about 3-4 hours of sleep a night because I am so wide awake. Grrrrrrrr I hate dealing with my bipolar, just when you are getting under control, it goes out of control
No the weather can't change bipolar but there is a condition called seasonal affective disorder where moods vary based on the change in light. You could ask your psychiatrist about that.
