Geodon is causing me to feel worse

Since starting to take Geodon 7 months ago I feel absolutely worse. I am very depressed, extremely self conscious, paranoid at times and my self esteem is at an all time low.  I never in my life experienced this degree of depression. Is it possible that Geodon is causing these problems.

I don't know what the data says about Geodon but I had a similar experience. It made me manic and irritable. It was a horrible drug for me and I couldn't wait to get it out of my system. I am on Abilify and it's wonderful. I don't have any bad side effects from it and it's changed my life completely.
Keep trying, you'll find the right drug, just don't stay on the wrong one.

According to the manufactuer many of the symtoms you are experiencing could be from the Geodon. I suggest you contact your doctor immediately and express your concerns to him/her. There are many alternatives available that do not cause these side effects and remember that everyone is different, so side effects are often different for each person.So another medication may not be as difficult for you and sometimes initial side effects fade after taking the medication for awhile.
