Head Numbness

Hi, i am a 23 year old male. For the past nine months or so I have been experiencing severe head numbness in the back of my head on top. It started happening when I started coming off some psychiatric medication that I was taking. I was taking 1200mg of trileptal (600 twice a day), 160 mg of geodon (once at night, and 30 mg of lexapro (once in the morning. This numbness that i am experiencing is honestly debilatating. It is overwhelming and unbearable. I can't help but just lay in bed and sleep because that is the only time I have any relief is when I sleep. I went to a neurologist and he performed some tests believing that he wouldn't find anything. He performed an MRI, an EEG, and he checked my throat with a sonogram. I never went back for my results, but was told that if anything was wrong I would be called back and never was. Anyway, I am tired of dealing with this and would like any advice as to what this is or if anybody feels or has felt this way. I am really at the point where I feel nothing will help and I am in great need. Thank you for all your insight and responses

That's complex. There are always short term withdrawal symptoms when a person discontinues medications but if they last that long then it is of concern but they'd have to find out exactly what is going on. However I would think those standard diagnostic tests should rule out any standard concerns but there might be others. Best to arrange for a consultation with a neurologist who is a specialist as they  might need specific expertise to find out what might be some of the causes of this.
