If you are ok on it just leave it how it is. I do not know the other drugs you are on. I am bipolar 2 - diagnosed just last summer and I am just trying to understand my illness a bit more. I feel good on Lamictal and can function. But it is still early days and probably will end up on even higher dose.
Hoping all will go well for you. x
I take 200mg of Lamictal. Like 007Bunny, I had to have my dosage increased, in order to control both depression and hypomania, after being taken off Zoloft. I did have a small rash, which I didn't mention to my doctor. I should have, due to the risk of Stevens-Johnson syndrome associated with Lamictal. It went away after a month or two, and never reappeared after that. I was up to 450 of Wellbutrin a day, but have now been lowered to 300mg. I am unsure how much my Zoloft dosage is. I enjoy the Lamictal, and I feel like it is a great fit. I sometimes fear it may numb me out, but after describing my symptoms and fears my pdoc did not lower the Lamictal dosage. I do not want to become unstable by lowering it right now, since I am in the midst of my last college semester.
I am on Lamictal as well. Had some rash but I use Piriton - simple stuff for rash and it helped. I had this kind of rash before - it is probably sun allergy. I burnt my arm in the summer and the rash comes back to that place very often. With Lamictal it was just in more places. AT the moment I have no rash. I am so far on 150 mg as I started 3 months ago. I have also Citalopram 20 mg. Lamictal is helpful and suits me well - even thought I had some crash recently - therefore increase to 150 mg but I think it is just a process to find the right dose. Some ppl are on 200 mg or even 400 mg. I feel much better on it than before. But have to wait till the summer if I become manic that time.
There are many posts about meds so just dig it up. xxx
