Does his Dr. know he goes into a blind rage? My former husband had that problem, and I could see in his eyes when he came at me that they were blank, he was not there.
I'm not a Dr. but to me that is a short circuit that needs to be addressed now.
Namaste,
From what you've described, it doesn't sound as if yur hysband suffers from bipolar disorder, although, it often takes years to make an appropriate diagnois, especially with regards to bipolar disorder.
My suggestion is that he or you(or perhaps both) maintain a daily journal detailing mood swings, appetite, whether medications are being taken as prescribed, any memory losses or lack of concentration, his daily diet and whether or not he exercises and if so, how much and what kind..
Although, this might seem like a lot, it'll prove to be most useful for his psychiatrist in making an accurate diagnois and prescribing the proper medication(s) and/or adjunct therapy, if appropriate.
