Locating a support group

Can anyone recommend a good way to find a local support group?  Or does anyone have any opinions about using a support group.
I think I need one.  although medhelp is great, I think sometimes I need to see faces and hear other experiences.  I think my wife needs to attend too.

Thanks,
Rogelio

I go to DBSA in my local community. DBSA stands for Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance... Here is a link to their site. There you can look up local meetings in your city and state. Good luck and let us know if you hooked up with a group. ( You can also go to online meetings and they also have a forum there... http://www.dbsalliance.org/site/PageServer?pagename=home

I know what you mean,,,I worry about fitting in too.  And the only one I know of is in downtown Phoenix, about 50 miles away.  I did find some on Meetup.com but I think that they closed the groups for lack of interest.

I think I need one too but the only one here is downtown, don't really want to pay to park and i'd be anxious about not fitting in
