You may have a problem with taking phentermine as it is a stimulant and can cause mania in some patients. Be careful in speaking with your doctor about that.

Please donot take any meds that you have not discussed with your dr. There can be many awful side effects. I know that gaining weight is a problem. I have been there and still am overweight. Believe me, you need to dicuss this with you psy doc. I am on many meds which allow me to function normally. The number of meds is unimportant as long as you are under treatment. I don't know if if what I wrote is clear. Hope you can understand.

i also have not heard of suboxone and do not know about it's interaction with other drugs, the best people to ask about it are your pdoc or gp. as iladvocate says zyprexa can cause weight gain even on a normal diet which is frustrating as most of the meds have this side effect. i just started seroquel and am losing weight daily and am hoping to be soon back to normal. please don't panic, it sometimes takes a while to find the right combination of meds for each different person.

I looked up Suboxone and that is used for recovery from substance abuse and I am not familiar with it so if you are concerned about medication interactions speak to your psychiatrist. They can do a search in a physician database that only they have access to and will be far more accurate than any web search you could do (though feel free to go to the medication websites of course). They would likely have a laptop or even Blackberry with the info. All my doctors do even my g.p. It is a question worth asking but not panicking about. As for Zyprexa its an antipsychotic used as a mood stabilizer. It works well but weight gain can sometimes be an issue so keep your diet to a normal amount and see what happens. Do ask your doctors to look this up and give you full information. They can give you the facts.
