Anyone got any ideas of how I could continue to get my meds if I can't pay for them anymore because I don't have a job?  I can't seem to find a job, let alone one I could work at, and this is going to inevitably happen for me if I can't find a source of income and I can't function without my medication.

Thanks for the thoughts.  No such luck in finding a job yet.  My social security is making more progress than my job search which is probably funny to people who know how long that process takes.

I've applied to a place that has three open positions, hopefully they at least consider me!!!!!!1  Or hopefully at least the family member I live with gets the job because they could use more hours especially with me not working right now.

Well I am on the MHSP here in this state which makes my meds only cost like $12 a piece but I'm worried I won't be able to even get that much money for them.

I use the TogetherRXAccess. It's free, it's just a 'discount drug card', but it saved me 90% on my Lamictal. It won't make your meds 100% free, but it saved me WAY more than I thought, and the restrictions are just that you don't have medicaid, don't have private prescription insurance and that you make under a ridiculously high limit per year.

You could be Medicaid eligible if you are in application for SSI. Those are the specific regulations as far as I am aware of. You could speak to your local IL center about that.

I just asked my case manager about medicaid today because my uncle was practically begging me to ask her about it but she told me I would have to be on disability to get medicaid so I don't know what to do about that.

You would still be eligible for Medicaid. At Medicaid you would just have to provide documentation of your disability from your psychiatrist and also state to them that you were in the application process for SSI.
