Please read all side effects on the meds you take. Always go with the lowest dose that works for you. Many pdoc's just randomly increase a med for no reason at all, disregarding that the lower dose works. The more of a med you take, the more chance of side effects. That's not to say you won't get any side effects on any dosage. Hope this is helpful.
I understand that.
The difficult is waiting and be patient until low dose work well. Life don't stop until find right meds and doses while bipolar consuming time.
Just understand that it might take long. Always hang in there, never give up hope to feeling better.
Now, I'm on Zyprexa 20mg & Citalopram 20mg.
Citalopram is an antidepressant. Antidepressants can make many Bipolars Manic, including me. I do however have a friend who it works wonders for her. I hope this new combo works for you. Remember to give it time.
Since I increased Zyprexa to 20mg, I became sleep for very long time. Most of the day sleep or sleepy. I'm not sure what to do. Continue on this dose (20mg) until my body deal with it or decrease the dose to 15mg.
Also, no high mood (very rare) but low mood became worse.
Zyprexa increased my weight. I decided stop it.
I change zyprexa to Abilify (aripiprazole).
Any advice?!
Good choice on the Zyprexa! I won't put my two cents in on that drug.
I have heard good things from many people about Abilify. We'll keep our fingers crossed.
I tried many kind of meds. I hope find the combination that work for me.
Now, I'm on Abilify, solian (amisulpride), neurontin (gabapentin), &citalopram.
