paul is bipolar he was told not to drink alcohol but he does what I don't understand pills are given for a reason how long will it take him to see the light I'm getting to old for this kind of life style
Gotta! Anyhow, in order for bipolar disorder to be stabilized the person has to stay on their meds and stay off of drugs and alcohol. If he is not going to be complient I would not put up with it. I would not expect my boyfriend to put up with me if I did not take the best care of myself, that I can with this disorder!
Who is Paul? He has to come to it on his own. As the saying goes, you can not help those who will not help themselves. Plain and simple. I am a social worker and have tried to rehabilitate clients and when I stop working with them they go right back to their bad habits and reckless behaviors. Is your friend aware that drinking alcohol on medications cancels out the medications working correctly? Best of luck.
