ok thank you for your answer, it seems that way with me too. plus been really busy lately so that does not help.
Hi, my memory is awful and it started when I hit a really bad depressive episode. I used to have a fantastic memory but I certainly can't rely on it anymore and it does seem to fluctuate with my moods. Sometimes its good and sometimes not.
Yes it can do that but so can some drugs as a side effect. I know that when things are bad for me time just dissapears in chunks, like a time warp.
And youre not medicated. Sigh, dont you just love the US medical system in all its glory - a place where access to medication and treatment is directly proportional to the size of your wallet.
Having read your posts I believe you need to get some help right now, do you have a Family Doctor you can go to? Thats better than nothing and right now you need something - Medication does not make you feel like a zombie when its the right medication and there is no need to be afraid of it.
There is a simple reality at the core of being Bipolar that we might hate and thrash against and fight for many years but we cannot escape - Bipolar is a mental illness and it requires medication as one of the core components of treatment, I have never ever met a single person who can go long term medication free and not have episodes.
I think right now you need to see a doctor - can you not go to a hospital and ask for help?
no i was dianosed when i was 14, I keep telling everyone i have been formally dianosed i went thur the whole see the pshchiarist and the doc who gave the meds, just when i turned 19 i moved out of the violent situation i was in, my life got better my enviorment changed alot, my dad and step mom very abuseive towards me and my siblings they use pshycirsts and drugs to keep us quiet about our home life, they were even allowed in the sessions with us when we would go to theraphy to montoried what was said, if we said something that they felt was going to get into trouble thats when all hell broke lose, so when i moved i felt like i had the freedom to take myself off those meds to see what life was like not being a zombie, i cant afford treatment right now , as of the question you asked earlier my son has medicaid ,
My memory is awful, I forget a lot, I have sticky notes everywhere. Are you BP or do you think you have it because of forgetfulness? I've found strategies to remember things that are important and not worry about the other things. Sometimes it's the meds, sometimes it's the BP. You should tell your pdoc this is happening, it's really important to let them know what's going on.
