Check out information about Bipolar 2. It seems like that might be the culprit. If you can relate to any of the symptoms I would get on a mood stabilizer ASAP and stay away from antidepressants. Once you begin to balance out, therapy will be key. Not only for you,but for your loved ones too. It's a ****** up disease. But there are treatments out there that literally can make the difference between life and death. If you want more personal advice, an ear to listen or whatever else I'm here. Good luck!
When principessatessa says avoid the antidepressants, do so as directed by your psychiatrist or doctor. Most if not all antidepressants have very negative side effects if not titrated off.
I have bipolar 2, which has symptoms that seem consistent with what you are describing. Just know, there is a lot of help out there. I take medications that make me feel normal again, like I felt when I was a kid and didn't experience such strong effects from my mental illness. This is my advice: get help! You have no idea how much better life can be than it is right now. I seek a lot of therapy. Mood stabilizers, sobriety, and therapy made the difference between 1.8 GPA semesters and finishing my last 4 months of school (about 1.5 years after my diagnosis) with a 3.8 GPA for the semester. Best of luck, and let us know how things are going.
