Hi, tiz me again.. if you can try to get some kind of disability or some kind of help to get you through the first part because emotions can be very confusing and medications can have unexpected side effects making it hard to keep a stable job.. just take it easy and I think you will do great.. and as far as what you are asking about normalicy, the answer is yes.. bipolar is very confusing and it's hard to tell if your behavior is the bipolar or if it's just something you normally do.. like I said, talk to your friends and ask them questions about your actions they love you very much and will tell you if your a little off or if it's just you and over time you will learn how to do this on your own.. also take your meds just like the doc says.. Don't go off of them no matter what.. If you are feeling good then that's the meds working and doing there job so don't go off without talking to your doc.. some withdrawals can be very scarry and you don't know what is going on.. That happened to me a couple of times with effexor and another med I was on.. I had no idea about the withdraw.. Also educate your self about the medications you are taking.. Google is your best friend and journaling is a great way to find out what is working for you and what's not..
Good luck and take it easy.. Give this time to work it's self out..
Hi, I am totally new to this forum but not new to bipolar.. I have been working with it for 7 years.. I don' t want to discourage you but it took about two years to get my meds in order and after 4 years of being pretty stable I am tweeking my meds again.. My biggest hurdle was reaching out for help. What you are doing is not just great it's smart survival, I can't say how much I wish I should have reached out to others.. Another hurdle was trying to figure out what was bipolar and what was just me.. The best I can tell you on that one if you ever feel that way is ask someone you trust completely. Your friends will tell you if your off key a little or if your reactions are warranted for the situation your in.. Also, if more than one person says something about your behavior you might want to take a look at what is going on with that behavior good or bad.. I wish you luck and your off to a great start..
all you said is normal . nothing to worry about this is how bipolarity starts usually : depression. you may be BPII. seroquel is good. OCD comes often along with, in medicine they call it comorbidity. unfortunately you have to be medicated. seroquel proved good for the majority. if it works for you my advise stick to it
