new here

hi, bp2 since a teen, now 42 where did the time go?  I also have fibro since last child 9 years ago.  Anyway, I am on wellbutrin xl400 mg, cymbalta 90mg(want to go up to 120 per doc)lexapro10mg and repridal1mg and xanax 2-3 mg.   I have been on these for a couple of years now adding as we went.  They mentioned abilify to take the place of respridal but I am pre-diabetic so that's a bit touchy.  I feel like a walking drugstore and those are just my phsyc meds!  Does anyone else take multiple drugs?  I feel stable but have no real ups or downs just there.  Is this normal?  I have no motivation to do anything and lack energy.  I will admit I don't excercise and am overweight and stress eat.  Anyone else lack those two things?  My goal for this year is to start yoga and get to water workout 2x's per week and walk on the treadmill here 2-3 times.  I just need to do it as Nike would say.  No one in the family really understand they just get that I am depressed and don't  anything.  Now my 16 year old daughter suffers from depression is on pozac.(runs in the family on moms side.  Anyway any thoughts?

I too am a "walking drugstore"!  My husband and I are going on vacation and all my meds took up half of our carryon!
Exercise is a problem for me too.  I mean well, but I just seem to not do it.  Maybe sometime soon.
I hope you find the support you need here, I have.  It helps to know that there is someone out there like me!

Welcome to the forum. I hope you find support and anwers you are looking for here. As Venora mentioned, it is normal to feel stable on meds. I liken it to being "normal" and being bipolar without medication is not "normal". I like your statement "I feel like a walking drugstore". I was diagnosed 25+ years ago and I can relate to this statement. Sometimes it takes more than one med to treat this illness and often times it takes time to find out what combination works best for individuals. I too go through periods of no energy, sleep all the time. This started about 10 years ago. I admire your desire to get exercising. I still struggle with this one. I haven't quite hit my game yet, just got up but after reading your post I wanted to let you know that you are in the right place and there is a lot of support here. Support of all kinds.

Welcome to the forum I take 3 meds myself.
Try eating 6 small meals a day and take 30 min walks. A protien and a carb. NO sodas or sugar.
it is normal to feel stable like you do on your meds. It feels weird at first since we arent use to feeling stable.
I am glad you found us here. this is such a great support system. No one understands like we do.
