I know what you mean,,I went through the same thing,,,the meds made me feel worse it seemed like. I've felt good since but I wonder about if it was a accurate diagnosis or am I just slightly manic.

Admitting that there may be a problem is a first step in the right direction. You should do it for yourself, and the effects will be a better experience for all of those around you.Sometimes medication is the only effective course of action. It sounds like you want to take meds, so I would see a doctor right away. Don't procrastinate like so many of us do.
There are classes on parenting. Talk therapy is good as well. A person certainly would not take medication just for their kids.
