Reversing depo?

Hi I only had one shot of depo. I was not told i shouldnt take it if i wanted to conceive within the next year. well its been 3 months since my only shot and i want to have a baby. I heard it can take up to 9 months for fertility to return, I'm just wondering if there is anything that exsists to reverse the shot?

I came off the shot about 2 months ago. I was on it for exactly 1 year and 3 months. I started the pill immediately. I usually started spotting a few weeks before my shot was due, so when I didn't get, I was on my period for about 2 months straight (including spotting before shot was due). But after my first pack of pills my cycle had already returned to normal. My husband and I are now ttc, and we believe that since I quit taking birth control altogether and I had a normal period that I should be ovulating normally. You can email me @ ***@**** if you would like me to keep you updated :)

I only had 2 shots and almost 40 pounds within that time because of the shot. You got that part lucky.

Taking the pill is a great idea! I was on depo for a year and when I decided to stop, I was hit with all kinds of horrible things. I have had nausea, breasts felt like they were going to fall off, I have a really hard time getting up (like if i'm on the floor, or up stairs) I think taking the pill would still give you hormones to balance out the "withdrawals" you're body will go through. Good Luck, I've been off the shot for 10 months now and still working on getting back to the way i was before the depo.
