Which is best?

What birth control is most effective against pregnancy?I also would like one that doesn't make me gain weight...I know abstinence is the most effective and all that jazz, but I mean an actual birth cotrol. Is there one where I might be able to go without a condom occasionally?

I thought all hormonal B/C makes you gain weight but maybe not lol.

Id go with the the arm implant....one because i have it and its working like a charm :P and two because it has very very low pregnancy rates...apparently its better than the pill but id say its probably about the same cause it uses the same hormones.

As far as i can tell this isnt making me gain weight but ill know if my clothes get tighter....tho i should be like an althlete by now with walking round the busy hospital hospital ward im on ^_^

If you are married or in a only one person situation, I suggest the Copper T IUD! I have had 2 of them over the course of 15 years and have never let me down. I got pregnant right away, when I had it taken out. They work great.

I too would always use condoms. Many people don't like them but I think that until you are ready for children it is the best method to use on top of using some other form.

The trouble with going without a condom is the risk of STD's.  Some seem like no big deal, and in fact, may not even have symptoms, yet years later you may have issues with infertility.

I would not recommend any type of birth control to be used without a condom, unless you have been in a mutually exclusive relationship for 6 months or so.  And there is a big problem trusting in a teenage boy's truthfulness.

I would not gamble my ability to someday have children to some boys assertion that he isn't sleeping with anyone else.

Always use a condom.
