My husband and I are not ready for children right at this moment. I'm allergic to the spermicide they use in most if not all contraception. But the thought of a pill that will mess up my hormones doesn't sound appealing. Getting tired of the approach of trying on different pills until finding one that fits. Especially when there are a lot of side effects, that I can't handle right now, are common. And of course money doesn't grow on trees. And going that route is expensive. I was trying to see if it will be worth it but it's looking like it's not.
Birth control pills are generally safe and considered a good option for many women to prevent pregnancy. There are different types and working with your doctor to find the best one is the thing to do. This is between you and your doctor but it is untrue that taking birth control pills 'has side effects on your whole reproductive system" unless you consider it doing what it is supposed to while taking it, preventing pregnancy.
Work with your doctor but I commend you for being responsible about having sex. good luck
There are a lot of women who take the pill for many many years and have little to no problems while some others don't do so well. There's no way to know how it will work for you if you don't try them. And there are many different brands, some of which might work well for you and others that have annoying side effects. There's no way to know which specific pill would work best for you. This is very much a trial and error process where you need to try a few and see how it goes.
in my openion...baing a medical student i would suggest never ever take birth controll pills..they induce worse side effects on your reproductive system...and on your whole body..
