Concerned

I started my birth control pill 2 days late due to some confusion getting authorization at the pharmacy. I also missed one pill week two. I do not use any other form of birth control and I have been lightly spotting on and off for the past 3 days and my period is due in about a week. I have been experiencing breast tenderness, fatigue, frequent urination and some dizziness. Should I be concerned that I am pregnant?

Any time you miss a pill, use back up birth control. If you don't take your pills when you are suppose to, it can make your body try and balance itself back out.  If your body isn't messed up from taking the hormones later than usual, you very well could be pregnant. If you skip this period, get a blood pregnancy test soon after. A urine test won't be accurate so early on.

If you had unprotected intercourse there is always that possibility. a backup method (i.e. condom) is required when you miss pills or start a pack of pills late. What you describe can also be attributed to the pills side effects and prior to starting your period (with the exception of the urination). You could have a bladder infection. Taking your BC pills at the same time every day is most important. You could take a pregnancy test if you are very concerned, or wait for your period.
