Hello,
What you are having are side effects of starting the birth control pills due to the hormonal action and should get better in the first three months. If these side effects persist then you may need to change the birth control for which you should consult a doctor.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. Thanks for your response. I am now day 14 on the pills and been taking it very regularly at around the same time everyday. I am constantly feeling tender nipples, bloating, slight weight gain and now mild cramps in lower belly right side. I assume its due to ovulation prevention from the pills?

Hello,
The efficacy of birth control pills may take around 1 week to strat if you start them on the first day of menstrual cycle. Taking the Pill at different times of day, missing days or skipping pills all decrease the effectiveness.
