Having an anxiety disorder, does it affect birth control usage?

I have had an anxiety disorder for years.. I am trying to o nce and for all get rid of it- my question is I just started birth control to minimize tissue growth of endometriosis... but I read now in the info that if you have high blood pressure, to not take birth control. I don't have high bp, but, when I get anxiety in day, (not all day) it can go higher I know that. Will this have any effect with the pill... (the pill can 'potentially' cause strokes in those with high bp, or smokers)... any knowledge welcome..
